This Privacy Policy explains how AutoCheckups ("we," "us," "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our service.

1. Information we collect

From businesses who sign up:

Customer data you provide:

Automatically collected:

2. How we use this information

We use the information above to:

We do not sell your data or your customers' data to third parties, and we do not use your customer list for any purpose other than operating AutoCheckups on your behalf.

3. Third-party services we rely on

AutoCheckups is built on top of established providers, each of which processes a slice of the data needed to make the service work:

ProviderWhat it handles
Google SheetsStores your business and customer data
StripeProcesses payments; we never see full card numbers
SendGridSends check-in and survey emails
Twilio (when SMS is enabled)Sends check-in text messages
n8nRuns the automation that connects everything above

Each of these providers has its own privacy practices and security standards for the data that passes through them. These providers act as our sub-processors. If your business needs a formal agreement governing how we process your customers' personal data on your behalf — including the full sub-processor list, security measures, and data-handling terms — see our Data Processing Agreement.

4. How long we keep data

We retain your business and customer data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription, we'll retain your data for a reasonable period in case you reactivate, after which it may be deleted. You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.

5. Your customers' rights

If one of your customers wants to stop receiving messages, every email we send includes a working unsubscribe link that immediately stops further messages to that person. Customers can also contact you directly, since you control the underlying customer list.

6. Correcting or deleting your information

If any information we hold about your business is inaccurate, or you'd like it corrected or deleted, contact us and we'll address it promptly. We aim to keep what we say about our service, plans, and data practices accurate and up to date; if you ever believe something we've published is incorrect or misleading, please tell us so we can fix it.

7. Security

We rely on the security infrastructure of our providers: data in transit is encrypted (HTTPS) across every part of the system, customer data at rest is encrypted by Google's infrastructure, and payment details are handled exclusively by Stripe — we never store card numbers ourselves.

8. Children's privacy

AutoCheckups is intended for use by businesses, not individual consumers, and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. International users

AutoCheckups is currently designed for businesses operating in the United States. If you are located outside the US, please be aware that your information will be processed in the US through the providers listed above.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll post the updated version here with a new "Last updated" date. Material changes will be communicated to active subscribers.
